M.A. study programme: Digital Japanese Studies (DIJAS)

In the winter semester of 2021/22, the new M.A. Digital Japanese Studies (DIJAS) was launched at FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg. The program is a consecutive Japanese studies program that deals with the topics of politics, media, and society in Japan from the perspective of digitalization. The master’s degree is research-oriented and, in addition to knowledge of Japan, provides students with (a) the ability to critically study and research the effects of digitization on the aforementioned sub-areas of Japanese society, and (b) practical methodological approaches and tool knowledge from the field of digital humanities and computational social sciences.
